Bulk SMS basics

What is BulkSMSOnline?

BulkSMSOnline is a bulk SMS service where businesses send text message campaigns online, from the browser or through a REST API, to 227 countries and pay per message from a prepaid balance. You import a list, write one message, check the price per country and send now or at a set time.

What does sending bulk SMS online mean?

It means sending one text message to many phone numbers from a web console instead of from a phone. You paste or upload the numbers, write the message once, and the service sends it to every recipient and reports what happened to each message.

Do I need to install anything to send bulk SMS?

No. The console runs in any current browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Developers who want to send from their own software use the REST API with a key from the console.

Which countries can I send to?

227 countries and territories in 11 regions, listed with their prices on the pricing page. One campaign can mix numbers from any of them, and each number is charged at its own country's price.

What kinds of messages do businesses send?

Appointment reminders, delivery windows, order and payment notices, one-time login codes, service alerts, event details and promotions to customers who agreed to receive them. Messages must follow the acceptable use policy.

5 questions

Account and sign-in

How do I create an account?

Open the sign-up page and generate an account key in your browser. Copy it or download it as a text file, confirm that you saved it, and the account is ready. The key is your sign-in, so keep it in a password manager.

What is an account key?

A 32-character code that starts with BSO and identifies your account. Sign-in checks it against a one-way fingerprint, and an encrypted copy lets our payments team match top-ups to your account. Paste the key on the sign-in page to open the console from any device.

Can I use the same account on several devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same account key on each device. Sessions stay open for 60 days on each browser until you sign out.

How do I keep my account key safe?

Store it in a password manager or another safe place. Anyone who has the key can open the account, and the key cannot be shown again after sign-up, so a saved copy is the way back in.

Can my team share one account?

Yes. Everyone who signs in with the account key sees the same balance, campaigns, templates and API keys. For software, create an API key so the account key stays with the people who manage it.

Sending campaigns

How many numbers can one campaign have?

Up to 50,000 recipients per campaign in the console and up to 10,000 per API request. Larger lists can be split into several campaigns that run one after another.

Which number format should my list use?

International format: the country calling code first, then the local number without any leading 0 used for domestic calls. +44 7700 900123, 0044 7700 900123 and 447700900123 are all read correctly. Spaces, dots, dashes and brackets are removed automatically.

What happens to repeated or invalid numbers?

Each number is used once, even if it appears several times. Lines that cannot be read as a phone number, or that belong to a destination we do not list, are set aside with the reason, and the composer shows how many were kept.

How do merge fields work?

Put values after each number, separated by commas, semicolons or tabs, for example +447700900123, Maya, Friday. Then write {{1}}, {{2}} and so on in the message. Each recipient gets the text with their own values, up to nine per row.

How long can one SMS be?

One SMS holds 160 characters in the GSM-7 alphabet or 70 characters in Unicode. Longer messages are sent in segments of 153 or 67 characters that the phone joins back together, up to 10 segments per message.

Why did my message switch to Unicode?

A single character outside the GSM-7 alphabet, such as an emoji, a curly quote or a letter like ç, ł or ş, makes the whole message Unicode. The composer lists the characters that caused it so you can replace them if you want to keep 160 characters per segment.

Can I schedule a campaign?

Yes. Pick any time from 5 minutes to 60 days ahead. The time is entered in your browser's time zone, and the campaign starts on its own at that moment. A scheduled campaign can be canceled before it starts for a full refund.

How fast are messages sent?

Campaigns start immediately or at the scheduled time and leave the queue at up to 400 messages a minute. Delivery reports arrive as the destination networks confirm each message.

Can I send a test first?

Yes. Enter one number in the test box of the composer and the message goes only to that phone, charged at that destination's normal price. It appears in your campaign list as a test.

Can I add an opt-out line?

Yes. Save your opt-out wording in Settings, for example a link, email or phone number where people can opt out, then tick the opt-out option in the composer to add it on a new line. It counts toward the message length. Add numbers that opt out to your do-not-send list and campaigns leave them out automatically.

Can I save message templates?

Yes. Save up to 50 templates with a name and the text, including merge fields, and load any of them into the composer with one click.

8 questions

Pricing, top-ups and refunds

How much does bulk SMS cost?

Each destination has one price per SMS segment in US dollars, from $0.00264 to Brazil. The pricing page lists all 227 countries, and the composer adds up the exact cost of every campaign before you send.

Is there a monthly fee or a minimum volume?

No. There is no subscription, setup fee or minimum number of messages. You add balance from $40 and spend it on messages at the published prices.

How do I add balance?

Open Top up in the console and choose an amount from $40 to $5,000. The checkout opens in a window on the same page, shows the exact amount to send and confirms the payment on its own.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Cryptocurrency through our checkout: USDT and USDC on TRON, BNB Chain, Ethereum and Solana, plus BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL and LTC. The checkout shows the exact amount and the address for the method you choose.

Is there a bonus on the first top-up?

Yes. Your first top-up adds a bonus to the balance: $40 or more: +10%, $100 or more: +20%, $200 or more: +25%, $300 or more: +30%, $500 or more: +35%, $1,000 or more: +40%. The bonus is credited together with the payment, up to 40% on the larger amounts.

What happens to messages that cannot be delivered?

Their price goes back to your balance automatically as soon as the failure is reported, and the campaign page shows which numbers failed and why.

Can I withdraw my balance?

The balance is used for messages to any destination and stays in your account for future campaigns. Refunds for failed or canceled messages are added back to it, as described in the refund policy.

Where do I see what I spent?

The Billing page lists every payment and every balance change with its date, amount and the campaign it belongs to, so you can reconcile each top-up and each send.

4 questions

Delivery and reports

How do I know a message was delivered?

Each campaign page shows live totals and one line per recipient with the status: queued, submitted, delivered, failed or canceled, plus the time of the last change and the reason for a failure.

What does each status mean?

Queued means waiting to leave, submitted means handed to the destination network, delivered means the handset confirmed it, failed means it could not be delivered and was refunded, and canceled means a scheduled message was stopped before sending.

Can delivery reports go to my own server?

Yes. Add a webhook URL in the API section of the console. Each final status is posted as JSON with an HMAC-SHA256 signature, and a delivery that fails is retried up to 9 times over about 22 hours.

Can I cancel a campaign?

A scheduled campaign can be canceled any time before it starts, and its full cost returns to your balance. Once a campaign is sending, messages leave within minutes.

4 questions

API and developers

Is there an SMS API?

Yes. The REST API at https://bulksmsonline.cc/api/v1 sends messages, prices a list before sending, returns the balance and rates, and reports the status of every message and campaign. The API reference has examples in cURL, Node.js, Python and PHP.

How do I get an API key?

Open API in the console and create a key. Keys open after your first top-up is added to the balance. The key is shown once; store it as a secret on your server and replace it at any time.

What are the API limits?

300 requests a minute per key and 10,000 numbers per request. The same message length, price and refund rules apply as in the console.

How do I verify a webhook?

Read the X-BulkSMSOnline-Signature header, which holds t=<unix time>,v1=<signature>. Compute HMAC-SHA256 over the time, a dot and the raw request body with your webhook secret and compare it with v1. Reject calls older than five minutes.

3 questions

Support and policies

How do I contact support?

Open Support in the console and create a ticket with a topic, a subject and the campaign or payment code if there is one. Before your first top-up is added, tickets cover payment questions; after it, every topic is open.

What may I send?

Messages your recipients expect: service notices, reminders, codes and marketing to people who agreed to receive it. The acceptable use policy lists what is not allowed, such as phishing, impersonation and messages to people who opted out.

Where is my data kept?

Your campaigns, recipient numbers and message texts are kept in your account so that reports and billing stay complete. The privacy policy explains what is stored and for how long.

Still deciding? Price your first list

Create an account, paste your numbers and the composer shows the exact cost per country before anything is sent.
